In the last Update the Committee confirmed that things were progressing according to the previous published information. This Update covers issues either not resolved or being advised for the first time.
Although the Committee made a concerted effort to get Members to cancel their Standing Orders by publishing the information on both the Website and in the Newsletter, over 200 Members failed to do so. PLEASE BE AWARE THAT ONLY YOU CAN CANCEL A STANDING ORDER, THE ASSOCIATION CANNOT DO THIS FOR YOU.
Annual Memorial Service
The Final Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel at the National Memorial Arboretum on Sunday 5th July. Booking Forms will be included with the next Newsletter.
Final Reunion Weekend
Plans are now in place for the Final Reunion Weekend to be held at Harper Adams University College on Friday/Saturday/Sunday 4th/5th/6th September. Full information will of course be issued by the Reunion Secretary, Rod Goodier, but the programme should be roughly as follows:
It is intended to follow the same format for the Friday evening, although there will also be entertainment in the Wellie Bar from 2100 hours. Merchandise and Raffle tickets will be on sale in the Reunion Office.
Saturday morning will also follow established practice with the options of a Quiz, Saturday Morning at the Movies, or a Tractor Tour of Harper Adams. Merchandise and Raffle tickets will be on sale in the Reunion Office. The Raffle will close at lunchtime.
Saturday afternoon will comprise of a brief update by the Committee followed by a Presentation on the history and achievements of the Association. The winning numbers from the Raffle will be announced at the end of the Presentation and Members can pick up their prizes from the Reunion Office immediately afterwards.
Saturday evening will of course be the Reunion Dinner, which this year will be loosely based on a "Dining-In Night". Pre-Dinner drinks will be at 1800 hours with Dinner at 1830 hours sharp. The preferred dress will be Blazer with Association Tie/Bowtie, although lounge suits are acceptable. Miniature medals are optional.
Entertainment will consist of a table magician will perform at each table during Dinner, which will break up the time for those tables waiting to be served. After dinner there is a three girl singing group "The Bluebirds".

Battle of Britain Parade/Laying-Up of the Standard
The Association will take part in the RAF Cosford Battle of Britain Parade and then, following a Buffet Lunch, there will be a Ceremony to Lay-Up the RAFBEA Standard in the Church of Christ the King at RAF Cosford.
