Greetings again my friends from the most easterly point in the UK and it is raining - again!!
I am happy to be able to report another very successful year for the Association, thanks to your continued support and the hard work of your Committee to whom I again offer our sincere thanks. Both Memorial Day and Reunion 2019 were very successful, many commenting that the latter was the best yet.
Last year much of my message was taken up summarising the Association’s achievements over the last quarter of a century. I won’t dwell further on that especially since we will go there again during our Review of the Associations’ history which will replace the AGM at Reunion 2020. No, it is time now to look forward. The Committee are busy planning for a special closing year and I look forward to seeing as many of you as can make it to Memorial Day and the Reunion. Thereafter we can look forward too many years of entry, trade and local reunions and it is heartening to hear of more of these being planned.
Finally, may I take this opportunity to end on a personal note. It has been an honour and a privilege to act as your President through these 25 wonderful years. Thank-you - I have thoroughly enjoyed being part of an incredible experience: as my grandson would say “it’s been a blast!”
And finally as always Betty joins me in wishing you and yours a very Happy Christmas and peace and contentment next year and going forward.
