This information should be read in conjunction with the Article entitled Association Closure - The Way Forward (Part 1)
Following the decision taken at the 2018 AGM to dissolve the Association in September 2020, the Committee has put in place a broad plan to ensure that the Association is wound up in a structured and methodical manner. Important details on the various issues will be published regularly both on the website and in the Newsletter, but for information, the general plot is as follows:
Merchandise. Stocks of Merchandise held by the Association are running low and are not being replenished. Members should contact the Merchandising Officer before ordering to ensure items are still available because when they are gone, they are gone. The On-Line Clothing Store will continue to operate normally as this provides a separate on-demand facility. Further information as to when the On-Line Store facilty closes will be advised nearer the time.
Subscriptions. The Committee also took the decision to suspend Subscriptions from the end of 2019, and to publish this decision in forthcoming issues of the Newsletter, which will include direction on when members should cancel their Standing Orders.
Discussions continue regarding an appropriate way to mark the dissolution of the RAFBEA and also on how to deal with other important administrative matters associated with its closure. Further details will be published both on the Website and in the Newsletter as and when they become available.
