Members Area Sign Up Instructions
You must be a fully paid up Member of the Association to sign up and please read and understand its contents before pressing the Sign Up button
Welcome and now it is important that you read this information before signing up for access to the Members Only Area of this website. This is a new site and has no connection with the previous Association Website run by the late John Ward, so you cannot use your previous User ID and Password to gain access to the Members’ Area. To achieve this you will have to make a new application using a Registered Email Address and Password. Requests normally have a 48 hour turn round but may take a little longer.
It has taken the Association a long time to get to this point with this new website, and over the coming months we will be adding more pages to the Members Area. However, the Association, and this site, is run on a voluntary basis so we ask you to be patient as I only run this site in my spare time.
Please make sure that you read the following instructions carefully.
First it is important to understand that you must be a member of the Royal Air Force Boy Entrants Association to be able to sign up for access to the Members Area. However, if you were a member and your Membership has lapsed due to non-payment of the Annual Subscription, then you should contact the Membership Secretary in the first instance. Once you have settled your outstanding Subscription and he has confirmed that you are a current Member then you can register to use the Members’ Area. Please be aware that due to holidays, etc. this process may take up to 28 days due to the unavailability of the Membership Secretary, Treasurer or Webmaster. You should also be aware that the Website Data is updated on a monthly basis and therefore the fact that you have been granted access does not necessarily mean that your details will be immediately displayed in the Membership Lists.
To enter the Members Area you will be requested to input your current email address and enter a password of your choice. Please remember with passwords to use a mix of letters, numbers and at least one character. If you forget or lose your password at a later date, I will not be able to see it in the system, so for your own security please do not ask me to resend it. You will need to use the “Forgotten Password” procedure, which will allow you to select another Password for use with your registered email.
After you have signed up for access you will see the following message displayed:-
"Success! Your member login request has been sent and is awaiting approval."
An email will then be sent to you requesting further details, this may take a few hours or even a few days:-
"Thank you for your request to access the Members Area of the Royal Air Force Boy Entrants Association.
Before your application is approved please provide the following:-
1. Your Service Number
2. Full Name
3. Your Entry Number
We thank you for your patience in this matter."
Please reply to this email with the requested details as it conforms to our strict security process and access will then be permitted after checks have been made with the current membership list.
Please do not attempt to log in to the Members Area until you receive your final email with the following text:-
"Thank you, your request for access has been approved.
You may login with your email and password selected by you"
It is at this point that access will be permitted access.
Please do remember this site is run by a volunteer and registration for access to the Members Area can take up to 48 hours to process and longer depending on demand.
